Experience of Self-Realization

Enlightenment Teaching of Krishna in Bhagavad Gita - Part 7 of 8

yat yat vibhuutimat sattvam Sriimat uurjitam eva va |
tat tat eva avagaccha tvam mama teja: amSa sambhavam || (BG – 10:41)

Meaning: Whatever being is possessed of power or glory or energy, know that as the manifestation of a fragment of My splendor.

You would have never experienced such a Field of Splendour. It is a Field that arises from your heart, crosses the physical boundary of your body and extends into infinity in all directions.

It is a Field of dead silence. You would have never experienced such an absolute silence in all your life. Your mind will be completely stunned and emptied. Leave alone thoughts, even the very presence of your mind will become inconspicuous. You are forced to listen to the complete silence of this Field.

The consciousness of your soul will be completely absorbed into this Field. Your soul is stripped naked and forced to stand alone in the middle of this Field.

Welcome to the spiritual universe of Krishna, the universal Self - the Self of all souls of this universe.

We used to say, “I did it,” “I thought so,” and and so on. We obviously refer to our form when we say “I”. But from where does this I-ness (the sense of “I”) originally arise within our form? From our body? From our mind? No, we have already seen that but for the sentience provided by the consciousness of our soul, our body and mind are simply insentient like stone, wood or metal. Again our soul provides sentience to the consciousness. But what provides sentience to our soul is the Self. This single spiritual Enitity provides sentience to all living creatures of this universe.

So, when we realize the Self of our soul, we reach the Self of all souls of this universe. Thereafter, the absorbed consciousness of our soul is expanded beyond the physical boundary of our body and merged into Krishna, the universal Self.

A spiritually awakened devotee, due to the gift of Yogam and Jnanam, realizes the Self of his soul in due course. And thereafter, his soul is merged into Krishna, the universal Self. Due to this merger, he gets unconditional Love for the Self of all souls of this universe. Therefore, he does Bhakti Yoga effortlessly and automatically.
